UNL is a Research I, land-grant institution and a member of the Big Ten Conference. It is the only land-grant University in Nebraska with a three-part mission of teaching, research and service. Individual's considering our institution will find us an enthusiastic bunch dedicated to creating positive experiences for both students and staff.

Our Residence Directors are motivated and knowledgeable professionals whose purpose is to help our students to be successful. Staff members have the opportunity to learn a great deal from the unique and varied experiences that each brings to the position.

You will get the opportunity to work with great students in a variety of roles including supervising live-in student staff, advising student groups, adjudicating student conduct, participating on department committees, hiring, training and evaluating live-in student staff and in a few instances our Residence Directors also work with Learning Communities.
