The application for Spring 2025 housing opens on October 7, 2024 and will remain open. Students interested in living on-campus for the Spring 2025 Semester (January-May 2025) should review the dates and directions below.
Move-in and the start of the meal plan for Spring 2025 is Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Application Timeline for Spring 2025 Housing
- Monday, October 7, 2024: Spring Housing Application Opens
- Week of December 16, 2024: Initial housing assignments email sent + continue on rolling basis throughout winter break
- Saturday, December 21, 2024: Last day to cancel spring housing contract to receive a full refund
- Wednesday, January 15, 2025: Spring housing contracts + meal plan begin. Spring students may begin moving in.

Housing Application Submission Instructions
Opening October 7, 2024
- Start your application in the housing portal.
- Click "New Student Application" on the red navigation bar.
- Select the “2025 Spring Only – Room and Meals” term.
- Complete each section of the housing application including profile information & room preferences.
- Pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee and sign the housing agreement.
- You’ll also have the option to select a meal plan and opt into Renter’s Insurance.
- Congratulations! You've completed your Husker Home housing application.

New Transfer (For Move-In January 2025)

Opening October 7, 2024
- Start your application in the housing portal.
- Click "Returning Student Application" on the red navigation bar.
- Select the “2025 Spring Only – Room and Meals” term.
- Complete each page and click “Save & Continue.”
- Complete the first portion of the housing application and join the Spring Wait List
- Note the Wait List is a holding place for you until housing assignments are released. We do anticipate being able to offer all upperclassman a space on campus for the spring semester.
- Congratulations! You've completed the first portion of your Husker Home housing application.
- Once a housing assignment has been provided (based on the timeline above), return to the housing portal to complete your application.
- Review your housing assignment, pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee, and sign the housing agreement.
- You’ll also have the option to select a meal plan and opt into Renter’s Insurance.
- Congratulations! You've successfully secured your on-campus home at NEBRASKA!
