Residence Hall Poster Submission

Thank you for your interest in advertising in the residence halls! All flyers must be submitted for approval before printing, drop off, or displaying posters/flyers in the residence halls. Submit your request online.

Please see the options below to follow the steps that best suit your organization.

Option 1: University Affiliates

Open to Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and University of Nebraska–Lincoln departments.

Submit your flyer for approval. For event-related flyers, posters must be submitted digitally for approval at least 14 days ahead of the advertised event.

If approved, you may provide up to 115 flyers to be distributed to our residence hall communities. Bring all flyers to be routed through the central Residence Life office. Flyers must be delivered to the Residence Life Office for distribution 10 days before the advertised event. Please count out the required number of flyers, use the Posting Tags document, and deliver them to the Residence Life office on the third floor of the Willa Cather Dining Center (WCDC), located at:

Residence Life Office
WCDC 3rd Floor
530 N. 17th St.
Lincoln, NE 68588-0622

General regulations:

  • Posters cannot be any larger than 11x17.
  • In general, we will not post flyers for off-campus housing facilities or flyers promoting/suggesting alcohol or drug use (including events hosted at such establishments).
  • Posters are removed once the event advertised has concluded or after 30 days for non-event posters.
  • Please note, Residence Life reserves the right to determine what is appropriate for posting in the residence halls.
  • If these policies are violated, restrictions may be put in place on your group’s ability to post flyers in the future.
Option 2: Outside Vendors

Open to outside vendors.

Option 3: Internal Residence Life

Internal Residence Life. Open solely to internal staff and leaders within Residence Life for department specific Residence Life events and initiatives.

Given your role within Residence Life as a staff member or University Housing student organization leader, you are eligible to post flyers on both floor bulletin boards and public bulletin boards with proper permission.

For RAs and Programming Board Leaders: If posting within your specific hall only, you need to receive supervisor/advisor approval. Your supervisor/advisor will provide you with an image to attach to your flyers to indicate approval and share with you the number of flyers you will need to print. You are responsible for posting the flyers and ensuring they are removed after the event. If using this process, you do not need to seek approval from the central Residence Life office.

For All-Hall Events, RHA, and NRHH: Since the scope of these flyers is for all housing buildings, please utilize the process outlined in Option 1.
