What is it?
A Programming Board is a group of students living in the residence halls who meet under the guidance of an Advisor (one of our Residence Directors) to coordinate and execute programs and events. You can think of them a lot like a student club, but built out of your "home away from home."
The main goal of the Programming Boards is to enhance the residential experience by providing opportunities for residents to get engaged, have fun, and build community in their residence halls.
Why Join?
Programming Boards are a very convenient way for you to gain leadership experience and develop skills without having to leave your residence hall! Everything a Programming Board does happens in the residence hall/complex they are housed.
They offer an opportunity for you to work with a team, brainstorm and produce programs and events, network with individuals in Residence Life, and develop skills you can take with you to future positions and careers.
Programming Boards also bring a lot of life to the residence halls! They create programs and events that get students engaged and help build community.
How to Join?
Easy! There is a brief application to complete that tells our staff you are interested. Once you complete that, a staff member will get you connected with your respective Programming Board Advisor.
Also, you can go directly to your Residence Director if you have any questions. They may be the Advisor themselves or they can get you in touch with the Residence Director who is.
