Welcome!

The purpose of the Housing & Dining Policy Library is to transparently outline the policies associated with applying for, living in, and moving out of on-campus housing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). These webpages also include policies governing meal plans at UNL. 

The policies linked on these pages apply to Housing & Dining contracts beginning Summer 2026 and beyond. For policies in effect for contracts from August 2025 through May 2026, please review the 2025-26 Housing & Dining Policies. Please ensure you have also reviewed the terms and conditions in the Housing Contract signed as part of the housing application process, as the policies on this website are intended to complement the Housing Contract.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information contained in this electronic policy library. In general, the terms and conditions and associated processes are reviewed and adjusted annually. Each policy has a “last modified” date. However, University Housing reserves the right to change processes, make corrections, or update information as necessary; if that were to occur, students would be notified of material changes through email.
