HE Detergent Required in Residence Hall Washers
University Housing has replaced old washers with new high effeciency (HE) washers (excluding Burr, Fedde and Husker Halls). The HE washers save water, energy, etc., but do require HE detergent. The HE detergent minimizes suds and maximizes the operations of these new machines. Students are being asked to take any detergent that is not HE home with them over break. Be sure to use HE detergent in all residence hall washers that require this detergent, and read directions on the product label before washing.

Robert E. Knoll Residential Center to Open Fall 2010
Sign-up information is posted.
The Robert E. Knoll Residential Center will open for the fall semester 2010, and will house 566 students, including some freshmen. The new building is located at 17th and R Streets. Rooms in the Center will be two double-bedroom and four single-bedroom suites. Each suite shares a living area and bathroom. | More |
Abel/Sandoz Area Parking Options for 2009-2010
UNL Housing has been informed by UNL Parking and Transit Services that a new parking garage to be located east of Abel/Sandoz has been proposed, with construction to occur during the 2009-2010 academic year. Follow this link for recommended parking alternatives in 2009-2010.

Abel/Sandoz Renovation and New Hall Construction
The renovation of Abel and Sandoz Residence Halls is in progress. Final work will be completed by August 2010. A new residence hall is currently being built at 17th and R Streets. Up-to-date information on construction projects is posted on the renovation website.
