Kiewit Hall Construction

Kiewit Hall Construction

Cons
Abel Hall Construction Updates

Sept. 28, 2022 – A stormwater and sewer construction project will restrict traffic along Vine Street through City Campus Oct. 3-24.

The work — which is related to Nebraska Engineering’s $115 million Kiewit Hall project — will be focused between N. Antelope Valley Parkway and 16th Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

The project will allow limited vehicle access (from the east) to parking lots by the Courtyards residence complex. The south entrance to the Abel-Sandoz parking lot will remain open.

Sept. 16, 2022 – The Kiewit Hall construction requires the west Welcome Center entrance and the entrance to Abel Hall near the North elevators to be closed. Both entrances will be blocked off while construction near those areas requires closure. Residents and guests should use entrances that are marked in the Welcome Center and Abel Hall. Temporary walking paths are also posted.
