The Student Facilities Support Team works hard to make our summer hall guests feel at home, and we have fun while we do it!

The dynamic student team takes care of behind-the-scenes work during summer conference season. Team members work flexible hours, can wear shorts or jeans with a staff shirt, get a discounted meal in the dining centers, and earn a competitive summer wage. Support Team Positions

Live-In, Full-Time Facilities Support Team
Position includes room and meal plan for the summer.
Available to non-first year UNL students. Minimum 30-hour work week and six on-call hours every two weeks.

Full- and Part-Time Facilities Support Team
Available to any UNL or high school student. Part-time hours vary. Full-time hours are 7 a.m.-3 p.m., M-F.

Job Description

Team members work to ensure the dining halls, residence hall rooms, and public spaces are in tip-top shape. Tasks include cleaning guest rooms, elevators, stairs, restrooms, lounge, and hallway spaces, emptying trash and recycling, and restocking paper supplies. You may be assigned to support duties related to renovation, repair, replacement, construction, furniture moving, and other related duties.

The team helps with room setup and other tasks that support the Facilities department. There could be considerable lifting, climbing ladders, and other physical activity necessary to set up and rearrange residence hall rooms and conference spaces.

Rules and age limits are observed for the use of power tools (OSHA) and for driving university vehicles. A valid driver's license is required if it's necessary to drive a vehicle while on the job.

Starting Wage: $13.25/hour
