Spring 2008 Online Housing Contract


If you are interested in living in the traditional residence halls for Spring 2008 (January 11, 2008 through May 10, 2008) read the information and then click on the appropriate link below.

  • The entire contract process can be completed online.
  • A $400 advance payment is required when the contract is completed; you can pay this on-line with a credit card or send in a check. If you choose to mail in a check please be aware that the contract is not valid until the check is received by the Housing Office.
  • Rooms are assigned "first come, first served" based on contract received date.

What's New for 2008-09:
Change in Telephone Service
Beginning with the Fall 2008 semester, land-line telephone service will no longer be provided in UNL Housing facilities. Students who wish to contract for phone service will be able to do so by special arrangement with UNL Telecommunications.

Abel and Sandoz Residence Hall Renovations
The long-awaited renovation of Abel and Sandoz Residence Halls begins in Spring 2008, with final work to be completed by August 2010. Due to high occupancy levels on campus, most of the work will take place during the summer months of 2008 and 2009, when Abel will be renovated, and 2010, when Sandoz will be renovated.
In addition, construction of a new "Welcome Center" connecting Abel and Sandoz Residence Halls with the Abel Dining Center will take place during the 2008-09 academic year.
Due to the construction project, students will find that some pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns in and around the Abel Sandoz complex will change. We will do all we can to minimize any inconvenience to our residents during this exciting phase. Check the Abel/Sandoz renovation website for more information and updates.

The Village and The Courtyards Apartment-Style

  • Twelve-month contracts will only be available in The Courtyards for the 2008-09 contract period.
  • If you plan on staying with us for the 12-month contract period and do not want to move on May 15, please choose a room assignment in The Courtyards.
  • The Village will be closed to University students during the summer months. If you are a Village resident during the academic year, arrangements will need to be made with your Residence Director to move to The Courtyards for the remainder of your 12-month contract.
  • The 12-month area in The Courtyards will be located on floors 1 and 2.
