Sorority Move-In

If you're planning to go through sorority rush, you're in for an exciting, busy, and fun-filled week. Here's some special information to help you get off to a great start at UNL.

You may check in beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 17. (Sorry, we are not able to accommodate requests for early check-in).

You are responsible for the additional charges for the cost of the room for all nights before the regular contract term begins on August 20. These charges will be added to your next centralized billing statement.

Please try to limit the number of vehicles you bring when you move in to no more than (2) two. Our parking space is extremely limited this year and we want to serve as many students and their families as possible in a reasonable time.

When you arrive to check in, you need to go first to the desk of the hall to which you have been assigned. The desk assistant will provide instructions, your parking permit, and a special card to place on the dashboard of your car so that you will not be ticketed as you unload your car.

There are designated unloading areas for all vehicles. The parking in those areas has a 1-hour time limit. Please plan to unload your car as quickly as possible and then use the map on the reverse side of the dashboard card to identify those lots set aside for more permanent parking. If you park your car in one of the designated one-hour unloading lots your car will be ticketed and may be towed.
