Meals (Before Classes Begin)Thursday, August 20 through Sunday, August 23, students living in traditional halls (Abel/Sandoz-serving in "fishbowl" area, CPN, HSS, Selleck, Burr/Fedde) can enjoy two meals per day in one of these dining locations: Harper Dining, Selleck Dining, the Corner Deli (East Campus Union), CPN Dining, and Husker Hoagies in The Lounge at CPN (only open on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.) Meals begin with brunch on Thursday, August 20, and end with brunch, Sunday, August 23. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Your First Meal The first meal provided as part of your contract will be breakfast, Monday, August 24. Early ArrivalsChecking into the hall before the official opening day, Thursday, August 20, at 8 a.m., is highly discouraged. However, if circumstances necessitate your having to move in before official opening, you must submit a written request to the Assistant Director of Housing for Contracts and Student Services two weeks prior to your requested move-in.Permission may be granted according to the hall and room assignment and move-in date. The guest room rate will be charged. The current guest room rates, subject to change, are $38 per day for a single and $19 per day for a double. The same fee will be applied for storage and/or occupancy. Making Changes To Your ContractNo room changes will be made during the first three to four weeks of school while everyone is getting settled. During this time period, students in temporary rooms are receiving permanent assignments.Room changes may occur at any time during the academic year (subject to the above limitation). By federal law and University policy, room assignments and room changes cannot be made on the basis of race, color, religion, disability, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. If your roommate moves out or you wish to change rooms, the Residence Director is the person to see. |
