Cancellation & No Show Policy
Traditional HallsStudents who do not check-in to the residence hall prior to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 (and who have not made late check-in arrangements with the Residence Director) will have his/her residence hall contract cancelled as a "no-show." When Residence Hall contracts are cancelled in this manner, the daily rate from Aug. 20 through Aug. 24 is charged in addition to the regular cancellation charge of $400.The estimated total cost of a "no-show" cancellation is approximately $500. It is important to write us immediately if you have decided not to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, or for any other reason plan not to check into the residence halls. Please be aware that cancelling classes or registration will not cancel your housing contract.
