Parking Information

Expect a lot of traffic and road construction around the residence halls. Some streets will have traffic lanes closed to accommodate unloading zones. Lane closures for construction projects could affect your route to campus. Download and review the move-in maps before you leave for campus, even if you are familiar with campus. Please, no more than 2 vehicles per family are allowed on move-in day. Note: If you are assigned to Selleck, you will need to sign up for a specific time slot due to limited parking in the area. Refer to the move-in information in your room assignment on MyRed.

During the move-in process, certain parking lots will be designated as one-hour unloading zones only. Just as you hope to have a parking place near your building to unload, so do other families moving in after you. Please keep in mind that many residents will be unloading and moving in at the same time. DO NOT pull into a handicapped space, onto a sidewalk or into the fire lane.

You will receive a one (1) hour unloading pass at your hall check-in that must be placed in a visible area on your dashboard while parked in a temporary unloading zone. PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN UNLOADING ZONES. In order to keep traffic moving and allow a smooth check-in for everyone, please unload your vehicle promptly.

Parking Services staff will direct you to a nearby parking area where you can leave your car while you finish unpacking and getting settled. Parking lots will return to their normal permit designation on Sunday evening before classes start.
