Residence Halls

The University offers several housing options to undergraduate students, from the rich diversity of our residence halls to the more self-reliant environment of apartment-style living.

We offer you the choice of seventeen residence halls, fourteen on city campus and three on east campus. The halls are grouped together into complexes.

All student rooms have central air conditioning, cable TV, and a direct connection to the Internet as well as wireless- all at no additional cost to you. You don't pay extra for those services. Also included are all the things you would expect: bed, pillow, desk, chair, dresser, refrigerator, closet, window coverings, mirror, and desk lamp. Washers and dryers are also available in all the halls.

Apartment-Style Halls

The Courtyards and The Village are designed for single, upperclass, graduate students or non-traditional freshman (resident 20 years of age or older with a freshman classification) ready for a more independent living environment. If you are an upperclass student, you may contact the Housing Contracts Office for a separate contract packet to The Courtyards or Village.

The University of Nebraska is dedicated to providing its students with the facilities they need for their education. We realize that the traditional residence halls do not suit the needs of all students. For those students that are married or have children, the University provides an alternative.

There are many people working to provide you with a great living environment. The management team in each complex is comprised of the Assistant Director of Residence Life, the Facilities Operations Manager, and the Dining Services Manager.

We know you expect access to excellent computing facilities when you are working on your degree. And UNL delivers. Every student room in the regular residence halls has direct access to the Internet. We provide 10Mb Ethernet connections.
