Snack Bar Aide

Job Description

Position duties and responsibilities:
  • Communicating areas of concern about personnel, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and product needs to the professional management staff.
  • Act of public relations liaison with our customers.
  • Support positive staff relationships with all departments in Housing and the residence hall complex.
  • Prepares food orders, stocks inventory, handles cash and ensures correct portion control while maintaining sanitation and customer service.
  • May assist with opening and closing snack bar.
  • Report to the dining service assistant manager or student snack bar manager.
  • Required to have a Level II Food Handler's permit within 30 days of employment that is obtained by attending a 2-hour meeting and passing the test.
Employment Period: semester/year, summer, etc.

Starting Wage: $7.25

Additional notes about the position:

  • Schedules vary during the academic year and the summer, your schedule could start at 6 pm to as late as 1 am.
  • Ability to schedule working hours Monday - Sunday between 6 pm-1 am.
  • All training is provided.
  • Two weeks notice is required when resigning your position.
  • If you are unable to work your shift, you are responsible for finding a substitute.
  • If needed, you are expected to work through the final exam period.
