Snack Bar Manager

Job Description

Position duties and responsibilities include:
  • Providing daily on-site supervision of the Snack Bar operations.
  • Selecting, scheduling, directing and training all Student Snack Bar staff.
  • Support positive staff relationships with all departments in Housing and the residence hall complex.
  • Assist in maintaining the Snack Bar inventory.
  • Communicate directly with the CPN assistant manager to order food and supplies.
  • Directly responsible for maintaining sanitation and customer service standards within the Snack Bar by setting and overseeing routine cleaning schedules.
  • Monitor food appearance, quality, portion control and cost control.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with the Snack Bar student employees.
  • Work with the CPN Management Team to promote and increase sales.
  • Ensure that all equipment is well maintained and notify Dining Service Staff of necessary equipment repairs.
  • Responsible for the cash drawer and deposits made daily.
  • Schedule periodic employee meetings.
  • Communicate other concerns with the CPN Assistant Manager for assistance in maintaining a positive work place.
  • Act as a public relations liaison with our customers.
  • Required to have a Level II Food Handler's permit within 30 days of employment that is obtained by attending a 2-hour meeting and passing the test.
Employment Period: semester/year, summer, etc.

Starting Wage: $8.25

Additional notes about the position:

  • Schedules vary during the academic year and the summer, your schedule could be to work as early as 6 pm to as late as 1 am.
  • Full-time work may be available during the summer.
  • Ability to schedule working hours Monday - Sunday between 6 pm-1 am.
  • All training is provided.
  • Two weeks notice is required when resigning your position.
  • If you are unable to work your shift, you are responsible for finding a substitute.
  • If needed, you are expected to work through the final exam period.
