Job Description:

Position responsibilities include:

• Providing on-site supervision of a specific retail location
• Demonstrating a working knowledge of the dining services' retail operations
• Receiving and maintaining supplies
• Directing, supervising, and training student workers
• Ensures safe care and use of equipment, food production and quality control
• Relays supply needs, student worker/customer concerns and equipment repairs to the Retail Operations Manager

Employment Period: Fall, spring, summer

Starting Wage: $7.75

About Dining Services Retail Operations

We have seven different locations on campus offering many employment opportunities for you. We encourage student employees to get experience in all of our locations so we may offer more flexibility in scheduling and number of hours to work. Listed below is a brief description of each location and the hours.

The Bakery: Located in the Nebraska Student Union on city campus. The Bakery offers a wide variety of pre-packaged products as well as a few baked goods. The Bakery is open from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and Saturday for Home Football Games.

Caffina Cafe: Located in the Nebraska Student Union on city campus. Caffina Cafe is a Starbucks coffee counter. It offers a wide variety of espresso drinks as well as tea and smoothies and a few baked goods. Caffina Cafe is open from 7am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, 7am to 5pm Fridays and Saturday for Home Football Games.

QwiKick: Located across from the football stadium in the parking garage. QwiKick is a convenience store with a sandwich shoppe inside. It offers a wide variety of pre-packaged goods as well as hot food on the go. QwiKick is open from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and Saturday for Home Football Games.

Production Center: Located in the Nebraska Student Union in city campus. The Production Center is in our kitchen on first floor. This is where we make all the sandwiches and salads that we sell. This is a production area. The hours vary here depending on student availability. Sandwiches are made Sunday through Thursday.

The Lounge: Located in the basement of Neihardt at CPN. The Lounge is a snack bar and convenience store. The Lounge offers grilled and fried food, ice cream and many convenience items. The Lounge is open Sunday through Thursday, 7pm to Midnight.

Selleck Express: Located in the basement of Selleck Dining Hall. Selleck Express is a convenience store. It offers a wide variety of convenience items as well as international food selections. Selleck Express is open Sunday through Saturday, 8pm to 1am.

The Village Market: Located in The Village apartments across from the clubhouse. Village Market is a convenience store and it is brand new this year. It offers a wide variety of convenience items as well as hot food selections for on the go hunger. The Village Market is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 1am (all day) and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1am (not as early in the morning).
