Dining Service Student Supervisor

Job Description:

The University Dining Service "Student Manager" responsibility includes:

  • assisting in the training and direction of student employees
  • responsible for the closing down of the dining service after the dinner meal during the week and on the weekends
  • responsible for the operation of the Dining Service on the weekends in the absence of a professional staff member
  • communicate areas of concerns about personnel, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and product needs to the professional management staff
  • serve as a public relations liaison with our customers and they support positive staff relationships with all departments in Housing and the residence hall complex
Employment Period: semester/year, summer, etc.

Starting Wage: $7.75

Additional notes about the position:

  • Schedules vary during the academic year and the summer, your schedule could be to work as early as 6:30 am to as late as 10 pm.
  • Full-time work may be available during the summer.
  • Ability to schedule working hours Monday - Sunday between 6am-10pm.
  • All training is provided.
  • Two weeks notice is required when resigning your position.
  • If you are unable to work your shift, you are responsible for finding a substitute.
  • If needed, you are expected to work through the final exam period.
