Dining Service Aide (Dishroom)

Job Description:

The duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • assisting in the preparation of food items for the main serving areas (hot food, grill, specialty foods, salads and desserts)
  • assist in restocking the food and beverage items for these areas of service
  • expected to keep utensils, silverware, chinaware, and serving pans clean and restocked for continuous service by washing and sanitizing them
  • expected to help maintain a clean and sanitary work area in Dining Service. They are required to have a Level II Food Handler's permit within 30 days of employment.
Employment Period: semester/year, summer, etc.

Starting Wage: $6.75

Additional notes about the position:

  • Schedules vary during the academic year and the summer, your schedule could be to work as early as 6:30 am to as late as 10 pm.
  • Full-time work may be available during the summer.
  • Ability to schedule working hours Monday - Sunday between 6am-10pm.
  • All training is provided.
  • Two weeks notice is required when resigning your position.
  • If you are unable to work your shift, you are responsible for finding a substitute.
  • If needed, you are expected to work through the final exam period.
