A guaranteed number is required by noon, at least three business days prior to your event. If the final number is not received, the highest estimated attendance will be considered your final guarantee.
Multiple Entrees
We can accommodate requests for up to three different entree selections. Please provide color-coded place cards to designate your guests' entree selections. We can assist.
Leftover Food
All leftover food remains the property of the University Dining Services and may not be removed from the building.
Room Assignments and Fees
Room assignments are made by the reservation staff at each facility. The reservationist reserves the right to re-assign your room depending upon the final guaranteed number. For all non-UNL sponsored event with a catered menu, the Union's full room rate will be charged, unless a minimum food/beverage purchase of $8.50 per person is met (excluding tax, gratuity, and alcohol.) If the $8.50 minimum is met, only one-half (1/2) of the room rate will be charged. A special opening fee may apply. Please contact the Reservation's office for specific room rental rates. Policy is subject to change without notice.
Signs, Decorations, and Confetti
Please contact the reservations department at the Union location of your event, for any special policies regarding decorations, signs, or the use of confetti.

Gratuity
Please note that Nebraska law stipulates that all service charges are taxable. All food service events will have a 15% gratuity added.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be called into the Catering Office at 472-8097 at least 48 hours prior to your event to avoid any charges. In the event of inclement weather, University Dining Services adheres to the following policy: if the University Nebraska-Lincoln is closed, all catering events will be automatically cancelled. If you request that your event takes place when the University is closed, you must call the Catering Department immediately 472-8097.
Delivery Charges
$20.00 delivery fee for on-campus deliveries and $30.00 delivery fee for off-campus deliveries.
Off-Premise Catering Charge
For breakfast, lunch, or dinner: $5.50/per person. For receptions: $2.50/per person. This includes china, house linen, service, set-up, and clean-up. Table and chair rental is available for an additional charge.
