Summer Guest Housing

Guest Housing is available in Neihardt and Village Halls for guests of the University who are not taking classes. Rooms in Neihardt Hall include two (single) twin extra long beds, dressed with sheets and a bedspread/blanket. Rooms also feature all-wood floors and an in-room sink. Rooms are arranged in designated male and female sections, with community bathrooms on each floor. Single and double occupancy rooms are available.

Rooms in Village Hall include one (single) twin extra long bed, dressed with sheets and a bedspread/blanket. Rooms are part of a larger apartment unit, with shared living area, bathroom and kitchen. Single occupancy rooms are available.

All rooms feature the following amenities:neihardtbeds

  • Daily towel exchange
  • Cable television hookups (televisions not provided)
  • Wireless and wired internet connections
  • In-hall laundry facilities
  • 24-hour front desks
  • Vending areas
  • TV Lounge

FAQ

What forms of payment are accepted? Cash or check payment for the full amount is due upon arrival. Charges can also be billed to a University account with departmental authorization. Credit cards and advance payments are not accepted.

Can I bring my significant other or opposite sex guest?
Because floors are usually single gender, we do not typically allow mixed gender roommates in Guest Housing.

When is Guest Housing available?
Guest Housing is available each summer from late May to early August. Please contact the Guest Housing Manager (guesthousing@ unl.edu) for availability.

Can I bring my child? Or my pet?
Children and pets are not allowed in Guest Housing.

Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
Per campus regulations, consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on campus.

What if I need to cancel?
We request notification of cancellation no later than 48 hours before time of arrival. Refunds for partial stays may be requested, and are available with original receipt and can take up to eight weeks to process.
