Dining Services Policies
Meal Service - Group meal service begins with breakfast on Monday, May 17, 2010 and ends with lunch on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Each group will be assigned a dining hall based on the number of people in the group and the number of other people eating at the dining halls during the group's stay. All dining services will be closed from May 29-31 and will offer limited service July 3-5.
Meal Tag - A meal tag will be issued upon group check-in. Guests must present their meal tag to be scanned whenever they enter the dining hall. If a meal tag is lost, guests should go to the check stand of their assigned dining hall for a replacement tag.
Commuter Meal Package - A commuter meal package can be provided to nonresidential guests who you would like to eat meals in the dining service with residential guests. We can design specific commuter meal packages to meet your group needs (i.e. a daily "breakfast/lunch" package, "lunch/dinner" package, or a "lunch only" package). To maintain a high level of service, nonresidential participants are not able to purchase individual meals in the dining halls.
VIP Meal Passes - We offer VIP meal passes for a single meal for a special guest (presenter, keynote speaker, visiting coach, etc.). Groups can request a maximum of 20 VIP meal passes per week. Groups will be billed for the number of VIP meal passes used. VIP meal passes cannot be used by participants or for eating meals on a regular basis, only special guests.
Meal Exemption - A meal exemption from University Dining Service can be selected for any one meal per week. Meal exemptions must be arranged at least 10 business days prior to the requested date. All other meals will be billed at the guarantee number or actually number, whichever is greater.
Removing Food from Dining Center - Only ice cream cones and beverage containers (16 oz. or less) can be taken out of the dining hall.
Valentino's Pizza Party - A Valentino's pizza party is available as a direct substitute for any lunch or dinner at the same cost as a regular cafeteria meal. A pizza party lunch includes an assortment of single-topping pizzas, assorted sodas and your choice of one of the following: salad, garlic breadsticks, or cinnamon breadsticks. The pizza party dinner comes with your choice of two of those items.
